Business Enhancements
- Editing multi-section Links
Background: The column links in densified zone and non-densified zone may vary in actual business, as shown below. In the old version, the column only has one section, so you cannot edit it by section.
In new version, in Edit Section of column, add the Multi-Section mode. You can click the icon in the upper right corner to switch to Multi-Section and modify the section that you want.
-
Using By Section to denote modifications
Background: In the old version, if you modify links of column in Edit Section (e.g., change the number of legs to 5*6), the result will not be stored in attribute (the attribute is still 4*4), which will lead to inconsistency in Attribute Editor and Edit Section. When checking rebar info, you may ignore the Edit Section, and take the number of legs in Attribute Editor as the basis, so that confusions may arise.
After editing the links or legs in Edit Section, By Section will be shown in the Attribute Editor, which means the info in Edit Section is taken as the basis.
- Ramp
Background: In actual business, ramps especially car ramps are quite frequently used in buildings, such as multistory car or sub-ground parks. It is challenging for novices to calculate quantities of ramp rebar, let alone generate rapid and accurate quantities. Previously, users had to deal with the rebar by treating most of them as flat slabs and some as oblique slabs or the combination of oblique and spiral slabs. It was not easy to use and time-consuming.
Support drawing ramps and arranging rebar, and the operation is the same as that in TAS.
You can exchange ramp between TAS and TRB.
- Crank Beam
Background: In the old version, you cannot set variable cross-section for beams. Although the reinforcement can be done correctly, but the model won’t have any changes.
Users can set variable sections for merged multi-span beams directly. In addition, users can cancel variable sections easily.
-
Rebar of Cone-type Pile Cap
If the top of the pile cap is sloping, the top bar will follow the sloping side.
Efficiency Improvement
-
Identification rates for walls and beams
In the new version, the identification rates for walls and beams are much higher, the same as TAS.
-
Providing new GAD format files
Background: When using TRB C to save files, the file size will be much larger than the original drawings, making it inconvenient for users to transfer project files.
In the new version, for imported or inserted drawings, the drawings are compressed when saving, and the new default format is GAD.
By validating 250+ drawings (including DWG files and PDF files), the compression rate is 7-10 times.
Usability Improvements
-
Batch-Editing Side Bar of Pile Cap
Support modifying multiple side bars of multiple pile caps.
When the settings are inconsistent, the info on the first setting will be shown.
-
All-Floor Editing
When multiple floors are shown, you can select and edit all entities you can see.
- Remove limits under 2D and 3D
1) Under Rebar 3D, you can edit attributes.
2) When using side label, the view is not forced to switch to 3D. You can use it under both 2D and 3D.
3) When using rebar layout under 3D view, it is no longer switched to 2D automatically.
-
Remove disturbing prompt
When the wall elevation is not continuous, the message stating "Elevation is not continuous, continue to calculate" will appear during calculation. The prompt is disturbing.
- Calculation of column links in foundation floor
In the new version, the calculation of column links in foundation floor is the same as that in other floors, that is, the densified and non-densified info are distinguished.
- View Quantity By Category
1) Under each element, remove the Element Type column.
2) Merge the same floors.
- Construction Zone
1) Rename Construction Zone
2) Import Construction Zone between TAS and TRB.
- Link BQ
1) When using reversely-check, the zone and floor in Range Settings can also be remembered, so you can locate the quantities accurately.
2) When filing quantities, in Range Settings, if all nodes under the parent node are selected, the quantities of the new sub nodes will be added to the total quantities; if not all nodes are selected, only the quantities of the selected nodes will be calculated.
Region-specific features
-
Indonesia: Parametric Reinforcement
Enhance the design of interface and interaction
-
Indonesia: Calculation Rules
Add Indonesian calculation settings. You can switch the language by selecting the options in the upper right corner. For now, only the fonts in white are localized.
-
Philippines: Calculation Rules
Add 33% for percentage of lapped bars
- Thailand: Concrete Grades
Modify the code for Thailand concrete grades and support more types of units.
