Usage Background

When you encounter the following problems, you can use this function.

1. The entity is identified incorrectly when identifying CAD drawings. For example, the foundation beam is identified as the frame beam because the default code in CAD Identification is not adjusted.

2. The layout methods of foundation beam and frame beam are the same in some project, and you want to change them to frame beams after copying to other floors.

3. Other situations that need to convert element.

Operation Steps

Step 1: Click Element > Element Conversion in the menu bar, and drag box to select the needed element entities.

Step 2: Right click to confirm, and then Element Conversion dialog box pops up. Select the needed element type and then click OK.

Step 3: The software will convert the element type into your needed type and prompt after that.

Only the elements under the same type can be converted. For example, different types of beams can be converted, but beams and slabs cannot be converted to each other.
