1. New Foundation

Foundation contains Raft Foundation, Pile Cap, Isolated Foundation, Strip Foundation, and the like.

The creating of raft foundation and raft bars are the same as that of slab. In the following part, pile cap is selected as an example.

Select Pile Cap, click new, and you will find Pile Cap and Custom Pile Cap in the list. First, select Pile Cap.

Pile cap element is created by unit. One pile cap element consists of one unit at least. Pile cap units are divided into rectangular, special-shape and parameterized pile cap units.

For example, select Rectangular Pile Cap Unit.

2. Define Pile Cap

(1) Deduct Top/Bottom Bar Of Slab/Raft: To determine whether main bar of slab/raft is deducted when meeting pile cap. 

(2) Cover Thickness (mm): It is the cover thickness of the current element in Floor Setting by default, and can be modified according to actual situation. Use “/” to separate bottom cover, side cover and top cover.

3. Draw Pile Cap

Pile Cap is a point type element, so the drawing method is the same as that of column, mainly including Point.

Custom Pile Cap is an area-type element, and its drawing method is the same as that of slab.
