Copy
Background
If the names and attributes of entities that you want to draw is completely the same as that of drawn entities, you can use this function to reduce time for redrawing.
Procedure
1. Click Copy.2. Click-select or drag-select the entities that you want to copy, and then right-click to confirm.
3.Specify a point as the base point for copying.
4.Specify a point to determine the target location for copying, and then the selected entity will be copied to this location.
5. You can continue copying the selected entity to other locations.
Note
If you copy an entity, its attached elements will also be copied. For example, after you copy a wall, its attached door/window openings will also be copied.
Align
Background
If you want to align the sideline of an element with the sideline of other element, you can use this function.
Procedure
Take aligning column with beam sideline as an example:
1. Click Align, and then specify the target line that you want to align with, that is, beam sideline.v
2. Select the sideline of the column that you want to align. The beam remains unchanged, but the column moves to align with the beam sideline.
3. You can continue aligning with beam sideline.
4. Right-click to select the target line again. To exit from aligning, do not select any line and right-click again.
Delete
Background
If the design changes, you can use this function delete entities that you do not want.
Procedure
1. Click Delete, click-select or drag-select the entities that you want to delete, and then right click to confirm .
2. To delete the selected entity.
Note
If you delete an entity, its attached elements will also be deleted. For example, after you delete a wall, its attached door/window openings will also be deleted.
Mirror
Background
1. In the current floor, all entities at a location are completely symmetrical to the drawn entity.
2. When drawing a residential building, you find that the structures of the left and right units or rooms are identical.
Procedure
1. Click Mirror, click-select or drag-select the entities that you want to mirror, and then right click to confirm.
2. Specify the start point and the end point of the mirror line.
3. In the following window, click Yes or No as needed to determine whether the original entities are reserved. The selected entities will be mirrored to the target location according to the base mirror line.
Move
Background
After drawing an element in a zone, you find the location of the entity is incorrect, so you want to move it to other locations.
Procedure
1. Click Move, click-select or drag-select the entities that you want to move, and then right click to confirm.
2. Specify the base point for moving.
3. Specify a point to determine the target location for moving, and the selected entity will be moved to this location.
Note
If you move an entity, its attached elements will also be moved. For example, after you move a wall, its attached door/window openings will also be moved.
Offset
Background
1. You need to offset the selected entity a certain distance toward a specified direction.
2. The function is only applicable to linear elements and area elements.
Procedure
Linear Element:
1. Click Offset, click-select or drag-select the entities that you want to offset, and then right-click to confirm.
2. Specify the offset direction and distance, or in the offset box, enter the offset value, and then press Enter.
3. In the following window, click Yes or No as needed to determine whether the original entities are reserved. The selected entities will be offset to the target location.
Area Element:
1. Click Offset, click-select or drag-select the entities that you want to offset, and then right-click to confirm.
2. In the following window, select to offset all edges or multiple edges. To offset all edges, click No.
3. Specify the offset direction (moving outside of entity means expanding outward, moving inside of entity means shrinking inward).
4. Click to confirm offset distance.
Note
To offset multiple edges, select the sidelines that you want to offset, and then enter the offset distance.
Split
Background
You can use this function to split slab, raft foundation, floor area, apron and other area elements, to make its easy to partially delete or offset entities.
Procedure
1. Click Split, select the area entity that you want to split, and then right-click to confirm.
2. Draw a straight line in where you want to split. You can draw splitting lines successively.
3. Right-click to select the splitting line again. To exit from splitting, do not select any line and right-click again.
Break
Background
You can use this function to break one element entity into multiple entities, and then perform operations like Delete.
Procedure
1. Click Break, select the entities that you want to break, and then right-click to confirm.
2. Specify the break point on the entity.
3. Right-click to confirm. The selected entities is broken into two entities.
Merge
Background
You can use this function to merge two or more entities into a whole for easy operation,
Procedure
1. Click Merge, select the entities that you want to merge, and then right-click to confirm.
2. The selected entities are merged into one entity.
Extend
Background
You can use this function to extend the selected linear entity to a specified boundary line.
Procedure
1. Click Extend, and then select the boundary line that you want to extend to.
2. Click-select or drag-select the entities that you want to extend, and then the selected entity will be extended to the boundary line.
3. Right-click to select the boundary line again. To exit from extending, do not select any line and right-click again.
Trim
Background
You can use this function to trim the selected entity to the specified boundary line.
Procedure
1. Click Trim, select the boundary line that you wan to trim to, and then right click to confirm.
2. Select the entity that you want to trim, and the selected entity will be trimmed to the boundary line.
3. Right-click to select the boundary line again. To exit from trimming, do not select any line and right-click again.
Rotate
Background
You can use this function to rotate the selected entity a specific angle.
Procedure
1. Click Rotate, click-select or drag-select the entities that you want to rotate, and then right click to confirm.
2. Specify the base point for rotating, and select the start point.
3. Click two points to define a baseline, to determine the rotation direction.
4. Specify a point to determine the rotation angle. In the following window, click Yes or No as needed to determine whether the original entities are reserved. The selected entities will rotate by the specified angle.
5. Right-click to exit.
Stretch
Background
You can use this function to stretch the selected entities.
Procedure
1. Click Stretch, and then drag-select the endpoints that you want to stretch.
2. Specify the base point for stretching.
3. Specify a point to determine the length for stretching, and the selected entity will be stretched by the length.
4. Right-click to exit.
