Select

Background

You can select and modify entities when enabling the Select mode.

Procedure

1. Move the pointer over an entity to highlight it. Click the highlighted entity, it will be selected.

2. To cancel the selection, click the entity again, and then you can select other entities.

Note

If you want to select other elements not in the layer of current element, you can click Cross-Layer Select on the status bar.

Batch

Background

You can use this function to select entities of one or more element types in the current floor, and then perform Delete, Copy Entity to Other Floor and other operations.

Procedure

1. Click Batch, and the following window appears.

2. Select the check boxes for entities that you want to select, and the click OK.

 Note

To display elements under the current element type only, select the Current Element Type check box.

Polyline

Background

You can use this function when you need to select entities in a non-rectangular area, as shown below:

Procedure

1. Click Polyline, and then click consecutively in the drawing area to form an enclosed area, as shown below:

2. Right click to confirm, and then all element types in the area will be selected.

Note

If you want to select other elements not in the layer of current element, you can click Cross-Layer Select on the status bar.

Select Same-Name

Background

You can select entities with the current name rapidly.

Procedure

1. Select an entity, for example, column-1.

2. Click Select Same-Name, and then all entities with the same name (column-1) will be selected.
